 Inspire, Empower and Connect 

A local not for profit community initiative, based in the UK. Muslims Connect is a collective of proactive community members that want to inspire, empower and connect through cultural and religious events and tours. There are many opportunities to give back to our communities and create better understanding and peaceful environments for all to thrive.

Founder


Shreen Mahmood, is a proud Muslim born in the UK. She is an Human Rights advocate, working on many projects and campaigns regarding Gender Equality, DEI and with a particular focus on Islamophobia. She is World Hijab Day Board Director and UK Ambassador, an active member of UN Women UK and  of course, Muslims Connect Founder and CEO.  


From humble beginnings and a career in Marketing and Communications, she is a proactive community leader supporting many charitable and community initiatives and projects. Seeing the need for frontline female aid workers, she bravely travels into disaster and conflict zones providing emergency relief. She has gathered great acclaim for her aid missions, having raised over £1 million for many causes and humanitarian crisis relief projects. She has been featured on BBC and ITV for these aid efforts and was ITV Pride of Britain Finalist 2023.


She has been awarded Peace Ambassador by Women's Federation for World Peace presented in the House of Commons, Best Community Initiative Finalist by British Muslim Awards and Unsung Heroine by SheAwards UK.

 ​Shreen Mahmood has lead many charitable initiatives and aid missions worldwide, including community efforts for vulnerable in the UK. In April 2023, Shreen led a team to Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, the epicenter of a devastating earthquake, delivering emergency supplies and raising nearly £35,000 in aid. In September 2023, she was one of the

 ​Shreen Mahmood has lead many charitable initiatives and aid missions worldwide, including community efforts for vulnerable in the UK. In April 2023, Shreen led a team to Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, the epicenter of a devastating earthquake, delivering emergency supplies and raising nearly £35,000 in aid. In September 2023, she was one of the first humanitarians out in Morocco during the devastating earthquakes. In Ramadhan 2025, she took a team of women to visit Masjid Al Aqsa on a spiritual tour, and the team fundraised £170k.  In total her projects, events and aid missions have raised over £1million . Her dedication to humanitarian work, both locally and internationally, has earned her a nomination for the Pride of Britain award.

In her role, Shreen has actively engaged in initiatives to challenge misconceptions about the hijab. Notably, she hosted a pop-up stand in Birm

Her dedication to these initiatives underscores her commitment to empowering Muslim women and promoting inclusivity.
